We have several events throughout the year, from Pop-Up Shopping Days for foster youth and annual Networking Days where we’ll need 50+ volunteers.

Volunteer during our main event, the Sheepshearing Festival. There are a variety of tasks and positions throughout the day that we need help with. Or help out with Moonlight Tours, Frightful Fridays, and Edgar Allan Poe: Master of the Macabre events.

We welcome volunteers & Interns from all backgrounds. EDEN’s Program is unique in its focus on addressing the root cause of homelessness by empowering SUSTAINABLE change – thereby reducing the return to the shelter system. To achieve the above-mentioned objectives, EDEN works closely with each participant to develop a personalized plan which may include Workforce Development, Financial Literacy, Wellness and Self Development.

Volunteers assist in many areas such as front desk reception, mailing/post assistance, special event support, exhibitions, marketing, fundraising, performance support, and event hosting.

Garden caretakers dig in the dirt! Tasks include weeding, watering and monitoring the health of our plants across multiple Garden spaces and containers. Our caretakers work in teams with training and support from our horticulturalist to keep the Garden blooming beautifully. Welcome patrons to the theatre. Help serve concessions (popcorn, beverages, & candy). If you stay for the show, assist with clean-up (lobby, auditorium, and bathrooms). 1-6 hours per week.

Our volunteers assist us with beach clean ups, water quality monitoring testing and by serving as ambassadors at our kiosk on MacMillan Wharf (seasonally) and at our Spinnaker Exhibit, located in our Hiebert Marine Lab.
