There are a variety of unique opportunities as a historical collections volunteer, from research and cataloging artifacts to making padded hangers or cleaning vinyl records. If you have 3-4 hours per week to volunteer, consider the Collections Department. The department accepts 1-2 volunteers each season. Training is determined by project.

ICPJ volunteers support a range of program and office activities, from bookkeeping to marketing and everything in between.

Help facilitate wish experiences for non-English-speaking families. Translators attend wish visits and phone calls, but they are not directly involved in planning wishes. They may also assist with the translation of documents and other materials as needed.

Assist with various projects at our chapter offices in Brighton and Grand Rapids, including phone calls, mailings, research and data entry. This opportunity is only available during business hours Monday–Friday.

Plan, organize and implement successful fundraising events by working on committees, helping on event day and/or participating in the event. Our special events volunteers help us by staffing our registration tables, handing out T-shirts, cheering on participants or welcoming attendees. This is a great opportunity for individuals (or families), groups, or organizations. Visit a JARC home once a month on a Sunday afternoon (or four times a year) to play games or bake cookies; or plan activities four times a year (e.g. spring cleanup, BBQ, fall cleanup, or an arts and crafts activity).
