A program curriculum and pre post-test utilized to measure program effectiveness and impact. Each workshop is 45 minutes to 1 hour. 15 – 25 young males per workshop.

Two school grades (example: 4th & 5th graders, 9th & 10th graders) will receive an interactive workshop on school centered topics such as: “How to Improve School Culture”, “Respecting Authority”, “How NOT to Bully”

Half of the program is dedicated to Life Skills session, the other half is basketball skills session. Each session is 1.5 hours. 15 – 25 young males per session.

We provide tutoring lessons one-on-one via online teleconferencing. Sessions are Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00PM – 5:15PM Eastern Standard Time. Volunteers normally contribute 1-hr 15 min. per week to assist youth in a particular subject.

We offer youth academic support in English, Math, Reading, and Science. I-ASSIST YOUTH is an extension of The Lawn Academy to increase the academic competency of youth.

Participate in mock phone and video-based job interviews with students and provide them with constructive feedback. Share your experience and wisdom to help our students prepare for the real thing. This one-time commitment typically happens for one to two hours in April or May.

Help students explore careers by participating in a virtual career day. Students will ask you questions about your education and career. This one-time commitment if for one hour with opportunities throughout the year.

Students need mentors now more than ever. COVID-19 shut down schools this past spring and is forcing significant changes to the upcoming schoolyear. Help us choose scholarship recipients by interviewing applicants or judging their application essays. We routinely award up to $25,000 in annual scholarships and will use your feedback to help choose recipients. This one-time commitment typically happens for two to three hours in February or March.
