The Salvation Army is in need of individuals who can handle a variety of administrative tasks ranging from collating papers to custodial work. Volunteer positions include: receptionist, clerical work, and custodial work.

The Salvation Army offers some type of food pantry at nearly all of its statewide locations, which offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, including: food bank driver, meals on wheels, feeding program assistant, and food pantry stocker.

Volunteers work in the Rose Garden deadheading and pruning roses and weeding the rose beds and borders. Training and tools provided. This opportunity is seasonal.

Help implement a comprehensive woodlands management program and promote a healthier forest through activities ranging from removing invasive plant species to conditioning forest soil.

Volunteering to assist in the office involves organizing files, assembling mailing packets, and making copies & collating.

Volunteering to assist with fundraising involves: helping to set-up & serve a meal, baking for a lunch/dinner, donating food, cleaning up after a lunch/dinner, donating raffle or auction items, finding partners or donors for raffles and auctions, selling raffle tickets, helping to organize an event, or writing grants.

Volunteering to assist with publicity can be done in the barn office or in your own home and involves: writing & sending press releases, writing feature articles, photography & video recording, updating info for our website, finding sponsors for riders, making a scrapbook/picture album, or collating responses to marketing.

Students may be able to complete their required Community Service hours in the Food Pantry or Thrift Shop. Any student under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, teacher or mentor while they are completing their service.
