A volunteer shift in The Giving Factory Warehouse involves hands-on processing of the donated goods that flow in on a regular basis. Each station in our warehouse includes inspecting, sorting, and packaging donations to ultimately be distributed to the children we serve.
Volunteers give their time to those who are in need in the office. Opportunities may consist of filing, alphabetizing, assisting with mailings, copying, faxing, making phone calls, data entry and additional responsibilities as assigned. Time for this opportunity is very flexible to your schedule.
Throughout the week, generous members of our community bring their new and gently used donations to our Dracut Distribution Center. Volunteers help sort through the many bags and boxes we receive, looking for any stains, rips, inappropriate messaging or style, and out-of-style clothing. Volunteers may also be asked to fold or hang items once processed.
Closet Champions are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment in the Closet, assisting in replenishing the Closet and identifying items that need to be restocked, communicating with Catie’s Closet staff and school personnel as needed, and performing a mid-year and end of school year check of the Closet.
