Casa de Vida operates Wanda’s Baby Closet which is stocked with diapers, formula, baby clothes, strollers, car seats and more. These items are free to those in the community who are in need. Volunteer duties include receiving, sorting and stocking donations, light cleaning as needed, and assisting shoppers.
Greet and interact with Museum visitors, distribute parking passes, provide directions and museum information, ring up gift shop sales and museum admissions (handling of money). Lobby Hosts may also be called upon to help the Museum staff with other office duties.

Opportunities to serve include working on the soupline, in the kitchen, in the dining hall, or in the library for our Monday morning soup service from 9:00 until noon. We’re also looking for more soup-makers for Monday soup line!
If you would like to come and volunteer in a large group, or if you have any kind of specialized skill you would like to offer, or if you have any other questions about volunteering, please let us know.
Assist with the repair and maintenance of our no-kill rescue facility, participate in monthly “spruce up the kennel” cleaning days, or provide gardening help at our Humane Center.
Our annual gala, Light Up A Life, offers many ways to share your interests and talents throughout the year, individually or as a group. Assist with event elements such as securing auction items or promoting the car raffle. Opportunities are flexible and can be tailored to your schedule.
Gather a group and host an event at our Children’s Center providing enrichment activities, host a meal service and provide a meal to 50 adults, host a community day and plan activities to give our clients a fun and positive experience, or host a booth at an event.
