A Volunteer Team is any group of four or more individuals from local companies, civic/service groups, churches, and clubs (just to name a few) that wish to volunteer together. It’s a fun way to build relationships within your organization and the community.
Some of the volunteer opportunities are ushering (done through outside community groups), working on stage, running concession and volunteering for dark night events. If you would like to volunteer in the Box Office during our season we can always use an extra hand!

Labeling and assembling items for the “Food 4 Kids” Backpack Program. Volunteer drivers and riders are needed to deliver backpacks to area schools. For drivers, orientation must be complete and drivers license must be on file.
Assisting staff with day-to-day office activities, including answering phones, mailings, filing, basic data entry, and other activities.

Our Thursday volunteer group helps with fieldwork at our properties, from trail clearing and building boardwalks to invasive plant removal. This group really will do anything. Join us if you want to meet new people and laugh a lot!
Occasionally we host work days to build trails, boardwalks, parking areas or similar work. If you are interested, let us know and we will add you to our email list to be notified as these arise.
Our trail stewards walk their assigned natural areas regularly and help to keep trails open by removing trees and communicating with our staff about trail conditions.
