Public relations and marketing volunteer help with: graphic design, establishing contacts, media/advertising, conducing community presentations, securing media support, helping identify partnering opportunities, and delivering fliers to area schools.

Volunteers are instrumental in sewing costumes, as well as putting finishing touches on projects. Time requirements vary with each show, but hours are flexible with personal schedules.

From the novice, the new to our stage, or the most seasoned actor, all are welcome to audition.

Like many non-profits, Leila doesn’t have the funding to hire out some of the special tasks that we need done around here. It’s always great to have volunteers who have skills that they are willing to contribute such as carpentry, electrical, mechanical and artistic skills.

Do you want to use your handyman skills? Paint galleries, un-crate artwork and assist with facilities.

Are you “hands-on”? Do you like to fix or maintain? Facility volunteers help with facility maintenance, do light carpentry, maintain grounds water plants, change lightbulbs. These volunteers like to “do.”

Assist the shelter by helping plan or coordinate fundraising efforts. Or spread the word in the community by assisting with marketing.

Anyone can volunteer to help. You will get assignments and training that fit with your experience and capabilities. From skilled tradespeople – carpenters, plumbers, electricians, roofers, and others – to the “weekend warriors” who love to work with their hands and energetic novices – all are welcome to join us and get the immense satisfaction…
