They also escort patients and caregivers to their destinations; staff our lending library; assist with administrative tasks, clinic duties and physical therapy appointments; present outreach programs in the community; and conduct tours of our legendary building. There are currently more than 170 nursing homes and assisted living facilities in the region served by the Dayton office of the Long-term Care Ombudsman. This office could not possibly serve the needs of these citizens without help from its volunteers, and they are seeking volunteer advocates.

NBFY provides consulting services for group homes in Montgomery County. For that purpose we are always on the looking to recruit, screen, and refer eligible, qualified candidates to our clients.

During the regular school year (We follow Dayton Public Schools’ schedule), NBFY offers an after-school enrichment program for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.

Opportunities include: General Hospital Volunteering, Hospice, Parenting, Spiritual Care, Community / Off-Campus Volunteering, Center for Exceptional Families, Patient & Family Centered Care, and Advanced Care Planning.
