There are many ways to get involved: Help organize food at the pantry, pick up food at drop off points, set-up bags and help distribute on Mondays, run a “Food Drive” (please keep us informed if you are having one), student community service, help raise funds.

Develop and support long-term relationships with neighbors which may include friendly visits, chores, yard and garden work, shopping, running errands, being available to call on elderly neighbor to lend a hand or an ear. Flexible hours per week.

Make minor repairs in the homes of elders who request some assistance. No special license required, but person needs to have a variety of skills and able to provide a variety of services. Bring your own tools if needed. Homeowner pays for materials needed. On call as needed.

Create publicity materials, assist with social media effort, deliver and post newsletters, flyers and posters.

Help by sponsoring events for the residents of our housing programs, including but not limited to seasonal/holiday parties, cookouts, as well as the annual Stand Down in June and our annual Holiday Harvest.

The YMCA is looking for parents/individuals who will encourage young athletes through a fun atmosphere. So you haven’t coached before? That’s alright! You don’t need a long list of coaching experiences. At the Clark YMCA, all coaches are volunteers.
