MooseWood Nature Center is looking for retired educators or volunteers with an interest in sharing their appreciation of the natural world with children. Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of planned activities and events. Some volunteers assist with an event or two while others are more active and volunteer throughout the year. Any amount of time you are able to donate is always appreciated.

Any resident, property owner, or business operator within Armada Township or the Armada Area School District, 18 years of age or older, that is willing to provide volunteer support with their time is eligible to become a part of the Friends of Armada organization.

Help MooseWood Nature Center spread the word about upcoming programs and events by creating and/or posting posters or fliers throughout the community and on the Northern Michigan University campus.

Write nature, outdoor interest, or educational articles for the MooseWood News newsletter.

Help with weeding and gardening maintenance as needed in native wildflower garden (our certified Monarch Waystation) located in front of the nature center along with pulling assorted invasive species in the enclosed Pool to Pond area.
