Off-Site Fundraising Activities (third party events) and Assist Volunteer Department (administrative tasks such as data entry, press kits, etc)
Receptionist Duties (sort mail, answer phones, scheduling, etc) or Grounds/Repairs (painting, landscaping, cleaning).
Activities include: Special Events (assist during holidays, lead a craft project, creating events for the children), Cleaning, Assisting with Pre-K, and Tutoring
Boutique (assisting women in selecting interview clothing), Job Skills (mock interviews, computer skills, teach a class), and Job Fairs (staff The Shade Tree table).
For a number of years, a group of about 25 Rotarians volunteer in the Magical Forest one evening early in December. Volunteers spend around four and a half hours at the event commitment during which they help load and unload trains, run the merry-go-round, sell drinks and treats, take tickets and act as crossing guards.…
Ushers help to keep BOF’s performances running smoothly and to create an inclusive, welcoming environment for our audiences. Plus, you can see a performance for free!
Provide A Meal (catering and/or delivery by truck for up to 250 people).
Volunteer with our administrative staff at our home office in Great Barrington and take a hands-on role in BOF’s daily activities. Help is most often requested during the summer season, but we do periodically have projects that require assistance throughout the rest of the year.
BOF periodically needs assistance at fundraising events, patron events, artist receptions, and other functions.
Our artists travel from all over the country and globe to perform with BOF, and we want to ensure they have a very warm welcome throughout their stay in the Berkshires. Join our artist welcome team to help receive our artists and help them feel at home!
