Become a part of our Disaster Action Team! Volunteers complete online trainings and assist with virtual disaster responses. A minimum of two shifts on call each month and strong computer and phone skills are required.
There are many outstanding private attorneys that donate their time and talents freely but more are required to meet the need. The individuals that we assist cannot afford to retain private counsel and would otherwise proceed without counsel or would be denied access to the court system altogether.

You will be paired with a young woman, age 18 to 24, currently living in our on-campus dorm apartments. SHDA volunteers will serve as a source of inspiration and guidance and will help our young women form a permanent connection with a caring adult. 1 – 2 hours per week
Distribution of food items received from Food Gatherers, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut and Chipotle restaurants and others. Volunteers will help with the packing and distribution of backpack meals for elementary school children.
