In almost everything the Symphony does, the smiling faces of its volunteers are seen as they donate their time to bring the music they love to the people of southwest Michigan.

We need help throughout everyday to assist residents in Bingo, Crafts, Story Time, Cards and Games. Any amount of time you have to make our resident’s day brighter.

We are always in need of people with experience in construction trades, equipment maintenance, groundskeeping, event planning and concession experience. And, of course, we mow a LOT of grass! Like to mow? Our fields and common areas are all mowed by volunteers.

Using your own equipment, take photographs of native flora and fauna, special events, and refuge staff and volunteers working in the field. Close up and macro photographs preferred. Photos are credited to photographer and become property of the refuge. Images may be used in a variety of outreach materials in print and on the web.

Ushers provide a valuable service to A2SF by helping to ensure the comfort and safety of our patrons at ticketed performances. Responsibilities include greeting patrons, taking tickets, handing out programs, assisting patrons with finding their seats, and giving directions.

In 2018, we made a commitment to become a zero waste event. Implementing new three-stream waste stations requires guidance from individuals like you. We need volunteers to guide patrons when tossing out their compost, recycling, and landfill items. Both individuals and teams are welcome!
