Hold a book drive at your school, your church, or even your birthday party. Your support and involvement helps us improve the lives of teens with low literacy. We’ll help you plan the details and arrange a time to pick up the books after your event.

We always welcome volunteers interested in joining us to make a difference in their community and help to eliminate racism, bias and bigotry. Some opportunities include helping us plan a community event or connecting us with potential sponsors who are interested in suppoting CCEJ’s work.

Volunteer at CCEJ’s experiental, residential programs – Building Bridges Camp and Summer Youth Leadership Institute serving youth ages 14-18. Volunteers complete a 3 day training that provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to support youth empowerment and leadership.

We are always looking for positive people who love writing and sports who can give their time as statisticians, coaches, referees, or as a beat reporter for our social media pages and newsletters. To work with you volunteers must have a driver’s license, be fingerprinted, TV tests, and have two references.

Volunteers lead Raising FUTUREs workshops for parents/caregivers. Currently, training is offered in English and Spanish, with other languages forthcoming. Volunteer facilitators complete 3 day training before going on to help deliver workshops throughout Southern California, and are provided stipends to help defray their costs.
