A photographer photographs Special Olympics athletes and events to help us highlight the movement. A Marketing Videographer/Editor works on special projects, shoots and edits videos including testimonials and athlete profiles. An Event Photographer/Videographer volunteer helps capture the special moments in lives of Special Olympics athletes during competitions and other special events.

Photography & Film skills are often needed to help us document our special events or prepare for a new campaign or materials. Good for: Anyone with film or photography experience and your own equipment.

Graphic Design Squad members lend their design expertise to our staff members in helping update old materials or beautify some new ones. This volunteer position happens from home on your own time and using your own computer. Good for: People who are better graphic design than we are!

These volunteers help us put on workshops and events by assisting artists during workshops, being an ambassador to the public during events, checking in guests for exhibition openings, and helping to setup and break down events and programs. Volunteers must be 15 years or older or accompanied by a guardian if younger.

Health Center Hand Holders ensure our patients feel comfortable and supported before, during, and after surgical abortion procedures in clinic. We are looking for calming and peaceful presences to support our patients. Volunteers in this position serve for 12 months and must be available on Thursdays at our Baldwin Park .

Whether in music, dance, art or even science, our Senior Enrichment Center provides teaching and entertaining opportunities. Your interests can be turned into a discussion class or group.

We are looking for individuals with computer skills who would be interested in supporting our admin. Tasks include: mailing list entry and updates, image sorting, photography, online sales support, and data entry. Some of these tasks can be done remotely and will greatly help our program.

Community Ambassadors attend health fairs and local events to share information about Planned Parenthood’s range of services and locations and to help dispel myths about Planned Parenthood. If you are interested in this role, you must attend an orientation which are held 3-4 times throughout the year.
