Second Harvest’s Food Distribution Center (FDC) at our location in Irvine is the place where we make it all happen. Our staff and volunteers work together to sort, package and distribute enough food to feed 250,000 men, women and children each month.

Throughout the year, Second Harvest needs volunteers to help with special events such as community food drives, post-convention center food recoveries, special fundraising events, etc.

We are looking for volunteers who can help in the office or at special events, such as our annual fundraiser, the Roman Feast & Charity Auction, where hundreds of friends enjoy fantastic food and wine, and bid on live and silent auction items to raise money for YES

Is responsible for connecting community residents with WTLC’s services as well as networking with schools, businesses, faith-based communities, and service providers to provide trainings and presentations. Our program asks for a commitment of five hours per week to answer hotline calls and document those calls.

WTLC hosts an annual fundraiser and is always looking for volunteers to support those events by working with the task forces to assist. The Community Education and Advocacy team attends several street fairs, health fairs, community events for tabling and volunteers are able to support those events along with staff members.

Become a Community Ambassador to help WTLC maximize our reach and increase awareness in our community. Get involved by attending community resource fairs and other outreach events as a WTLC representative and help promote WTLC programs within your community network and on social media.
