Food distributions are monthly so families don’t go hungry. 10,000 pounds of fresh produce and other staple grocery items that can be feed up to 300 families are distributed in Orange Count’s most needy communities thanks to volunteers and sponsors.

Community Outreach Volunteers are key to raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease at community events. Community Outreach Volunteers represent Alzheimer’s Orange County at Health and Wellness fairs and community events, provide materials and basic information about our no-cost programs and services, and provide public awareness, education, and support to Orange County’s communities.

Lack of information/misinformation about how Alzheimer’s disease affects a person pose a major barrier to families getting help. We need volunteers to help educate audiences at senior centers, community organizations, clubs, congregations, schools and more. Audiences range from 20 – 50 people.
