The mentor is a “trusted guide” and a role model who can help develop an awareness of the choices in a mentee’s life. As a mentor, you can have a direct impact on the self-confidence and well-being of a young person.
Many tasks include answering the phone, greeting guests, and calling to check on guests. Engaging with guests (include playing games, participating in activities, and getting to know guests).
Options include art, yoga, group therapy, or other skills you can provide.
Help with our gardens. We also have opportunities outdoors and indoors depending on the weather.
The Center has many random projects that need completed. They depend on the group size and the ages of the volunteers.
Military veterans, first responders, and civilians can join and deploy with Team Rubicon on domestic and international disaster operations. If you’re committed to serving those in need, there’s a spot for you on the Team.
We’re seeking board members to grow our current group from 7 to 12; especially members who share our values. Relevant experience in nonprofit leadership (Board President), nonprofit governance, food retail/restaurant, finance and legal or human resources.
