Pet food delivery occurs every 4-6 weeks to accommodate varying volunteer schedules. We currently deliver to Dover, Durham, Rochester, Somersworth, and Newmarket. As our client base increases, we will need more delivery volunteers. Food is either donated or purchased monthly and must be individually bagged and taken the clients at thir homes.
As a trained volunteer, under the guidance of the licensed massage therapist, you’ll provide a 15-minute hand massage. The service is the application of a gentle, tender, soothing, touch to the hands.
Provide a warm and welcoming presence for patients and their families and attend to patients’ comfort needs. Provide refreshments and engage in friendly conversation with patients and their families.
Provide patients, family members, visitors, and staff with friendly and helpful volunteers who offer directions; escort patients to appointments while helping answer questions along the way; provide one-on-one support to help a patient or family member — someone who might otherwise feel lost and overwhelmed, and provide information about Dana-Farber programs and resources.

The Information Desk is the first point of contact for patients coming to Dana-Farber. The staff and volunteers, therefore, set the tone for all patient visits. Patients may need assistance with their appointments for the day, directions to their clinic, and other areas. You’ll make sure this process is as seamless for patients as possible.
