Young ProfessionALZ is a group designed for individuals ages 21 – 40 to join together and raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease through volunteering, advocacy and fundraising. We are seeking new members!

Support our Programs & Family Services Department by helping to track important information about our education programs and attendees. As a volunteer, you’ll conduct data entry in our Waltham, MA office on an ongoing basis. (ideally during business hours)

Volunteer and help with greeting visitors, and selling admission tickets, memberships, and merchandise. This job includes operating a cash register and credit card machine. Between visitors help keep the shop stocked and tidy.

Assist with the set-up, admissions, guest services, programming, and clean-up at our events. Events run between 2 and 8 hours.

As a tutor, you’ll dedicate an afternoon (or two) each week, Monday-Thursday from 4-6 pm. We welcome both high school and college tutors. Additionally, we need teachers for our Enrichment Program. DVs help in many of the same ways as RVs. They are trained by our staff on-site to help with mucking and gutting, mold sanitation, insulation and drywall insulation, carpentry, painting, and more. DVs live nearby the sites and arrange their own accommodation, transportation, and food for the duration of their volunteer experience.

Whether you enjoy carpentry, painting, landscaping, or any other hands-on skills, there are always projects available at the Village.

We are currently recruiting energetic and outgoing volunteers to join our Walk Planning Committees! Each of our 12 Walk To End Alzheimer’s events has a Planning Committee that meets monthly, year-round to work on areas such as community outreach, corporate engagement, logistics and more!

As a volunteer, you’ll design quilts, machine piece the quilt tops, layer with batting, and hand quilt. You’ll also produce a variety of patterns, colors, and sizes of quilts. Most of the quilts are raffled to benefit the Village. Our quilters all come with varying backgrounds and abilities, so beginners are always welcome!
