An Exhibit Volunteer at Pretend City Children’s Museum is responsible for facilitating the role-playing experience for children 0-8 years of age and will be assigned to work in one of the main exhibits. Volunteers between the ages 13-15 can volunteer at one of our two Resale Stores with a parent/guardian. Other youth opportunities include: Event Volunteer, Summer & Holiday Internships, hosting a Clothing Drive/Wish List Drive in your neighborhood, and asking your teacher or club to host a H.E.A.R.T. (Healthy Emotions and Attitudes in Relationships Today) Workshop.

All volunteer applicants in Direct Service roles must complete the State Certified 40 – Hour Domestic Violence Advocate Training. Once training is complete volunteer opportunities include: Childcare Volunteer, Hotline Volunteer, House Coordinator Volunteer, Case Management Volunteer, Transitional Living Center Volunteer, Legal Advocate, and H.E.A.R.T. Data Entry/Outreach Volunteer.

Non-Direct Service roles include: Administrative/Office Volunteer, Event Volunteer, Outreach Volunteer, and Resale Store Retail Volunteer. Duties include office work, event planning, set up, and take down, and assisting with the daily operations of the Resale Store.
