Also known as micro-fundraising, individuals will raise money through their own individual fundraising efforts such as running a Marathon, hosting a cocktail party or a car wash. Individuals volunteer their time and solicit donations from family, friends and/or colleagues to support the Prevention Center and our cause.

High school volunteers, under the supervision of Respite Supervisors, care for, comfort, nurture, and engage with the children while parents receive a “break” from their care giving responsibilities.

Befriend someone who is highly motivated to bring their family out of poverty. You, in turn, will offer whatever support, skills, and resources (not money) you can to support that effort.

Many of our guests rarely receive a home-cooked meal, and are very appreciative when a dinner is provided . You can schedule your family or group to provide a weekday meal. (We ask that you plan to feed 20 people)

The Guest House is managed by a volunteer board of directors and also has many committees populated by volunteers, e.g. finance, marketing, governance and special events. Serving on a committee is a great way to find out more about the organization and possibly serving on the board in the future.

The Guest House is a typical home needing to be cared for on an ongoing basis. There are beds to be made, laundry to be done and cabinets to be straightened.
