Volunteers play a vital role in supporting every aspect of Casa Milagrosa’s daily operations, from working directly with homeless and extremely low-income program guests, to helping organize and distribute food, serving hot breakfast meals and coffee and even providing administrative assistance in our day programs.
For people who are non-native speakers of English, receive individual attention in speaking, listening, reading, writing, or conversation
For people who need help finding information using technology or social media
For those who want to earn their GED, individual tutoring is available in reading, writing, and math
Assisting the Archivist in cataloging historical materials, assisting in researching materials and information requested by patrons of the Library.
Visiting the Miami County Court House and other local agencies to research requested public records, digital scanning and cataloging photographic images, data entry and many more activities.
One-on-one tutoring in reading and writing for any level of proficiency
Holiday decorating and putting away, wrapping silverware for the kitchen, etc.
Make craft items at home or come to craft Tuesday to be one of the Piecemakers.
Greeting patrons and orienting them to the Library, assisting patrons in researching local history, assisting patrons in genealogical research, using the microfilm and copying machines, and re-shelving material.
