Little Brothers–Friends of the Elderly celebrate the holidays with our elderly friends because this is when they can feel the loneliest. Student-run clubs with educational information about HIV/AIDS, SOTENI, and/or Kenya. Clubs raise money, collect clothing, and acquire medical supplies to send to Kenya’s Villages of Hope. They also help support children through SOTENI’s Sponsorship program and teach responsible behavior that prevents AIDS.
We need volunteers to assist us with the numerous pieces of work we do in our office. We could use the assistance of volunteers who are familiar with computers – doing data entry and filing. We also need volunteers who can answer the phone, assist with mailings.
Interns in Kenya work primarily in rural settings and provide support to the community and its leaders. The interns also learn about the rich cultures of Kenya while sharing their own gifts, experiences, and insights. SOTENI’s goal is to enable interns to be AIDS-prevention advocates in both Kenya and their home countries.
Interns in Cincinnati work on projects that advance the strategic goals of SOTENI International while gaining experience. Projects can include fund-raising, volunteer management, grant writing, and other administrative functions.
