For those who like to cook and get others involved in the process, this opportunity might be a good fit. Come and bring the ingredients to make a meal with the residents.

Help with bed preparation for planting seeds, flowers, vegetables, and herbs. Also assist in occasional weeding and harvesting tasks as needed.

Our office volunteers help in the Safe Pastures office one morning or afternoon a week. Some of the duties include answering phones, giving tours, helping with mailings, and pitching in as needed with special projects around the house.

Our teachers for life skills classes and speakers for mentor trainings provide much-needed input for those involved in the Safe Pastures program. These trainings are scheduled on various weeknights dependent upon the academic schedules of the women involved.

Help clean the shelter’s cages and kennels, and make sure they are neat and sanitary for the shelters residents.

Greet and escort clients through the pantry to help them select, bag and carrying items. (Must be capable of carrying 15 pounds)

Drive clients to and from the food pantry. You will be using your own personal vehicle (many clients use walkers)
