Socialize, train and enrich the lives of the cats in our care throughout the day. This may include playing or relaxing with them, cleaning and feeding. Volunteers must attend a cat care and handling training. If you are between the ages of 12 to 17, you can volunteer with an adult.

Volunteer in our network of gardens to create access to healthy, affordable fruits and vegetables to the local community. Join us at our monthly Food For Thought Produce Pickup, and help distribute hundreds of pounds of free, fresh produce to the public.

spcaLA Volunteers will help teach shelter dogs basic obedience, provide enrichment activities and correct common behavior problems. There are several levels of training required depending on your involvement and interests. If you are between the ages of 12 to 17, you can volunteer with an adult.
Represent spcaLA at a variety of events (community fairs, expos, fundraisers, sports events, vaccine clinics, etc.), give shelter tours, and more! If you are between the ages of 12 to 17, you can volunteer with an adult.

Teach children the importance of fruits, vegetables, and sustainable agriculture through curated games, crafts and scavenger hunts. Reports to Volunteer Coordinator and on-site manager. Primarily works outdoors under a canopy with some exposure to weather. Minimum commitment of one shift per month for 3 months.
