Work backstage during a show, assist with costumes or props, join the set building and painting crew, usher or sell concessions. Sound interesting?

Assist by organizing events, soliciting donations, grant writing, grant management, identification of grant opportunities, and more.

We also have a role for volunteers behind the scenes. With tens of thousands of artifacts in our collection, the Museum is constantly inventorying and cataloging these historical treasures. We are also always looking for those who like to write, or are handy with a hammer.

Volunteers work in areas from researching genealogy, cataloging artifacts and library materials, to assisting with membership and mailings. They also work in Spring and Third, the Museum Store, creating displays and greeting patrons. Some become docents, assisting the Museum Educator with visiting classes, and others give lectures, coordinate fund raisers or help with raising much…

Volunteers help with feeding dogs, taking them outside for recreation and cleaning kennels. Dog volunteers must be over 18.

Maintenance around the building. Laundry and general housekeeping. Groundskeeping and gardening.

Volunteers are instrumental in sewing costumes, as well as putting finishing touches on projects. Time requirements vary with each show, but hours are flexible with personal schedules.
