‘- Help with pre-sale sorting – fall through spring – Be a member of the Book Sale and/or Bling Thing event planning committees – Help staff either or both sales events: set-up, customer help, bagging, checkout, take down, etc.

The Friends continually look for new and creative ways to raise funds to support Hackley Public Library. We welcome your ideas and your help on planning committees and during events. Examples might be a downtown Happy Hour, Ice Cream Social, etc.

‘- Help recruit Corporate Members and Event Sponsors – Research and/or write grants

Act as Event photographer, become an administrator or editor for our Website or Facebook and other social media page updates, assist with posters, graphics and printing needs, help with newsletter layout preparation, assist with email announcements to members.

There are plenty of volunteer opportunities, some of which include: event nights, childcare, office help, revive course, and assisting with our restorative residential program.

Transportation drivers, meals on wheels drivers, visitors and shoppers, adult day volunteers, office helpers, benefit advisors, health and education, handyman, dining center helpers, entertainers

‘- Purchase New Books and Other Materials – Volunteer for Special Events and Programs – Sponsor the Book Page newsletter and film licenses – Support Summer Reading Programs for adults and children, – Prime Time Family Reading Time, – PWPL Literacy Project – Hold Book Sales and Special Sales – Maintain the Friends Book Store

This event is a fun-filled day and it is an opportunity to minister to the community with dignity. We offer a variety of services to the community including: Haircuts, Chiropractor, Massage Therapist, Nurses, Hair Braiding, Doctor’s Assistance, Groceries & Personal Care Items.

Join us as we visit the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans to thank those that served our country and to spend quality time reminiscing and fellowshipping.

This committee is charged with the care of our assets including the buildings, costumes, props, equipment, and tools. The assets committee will keep an inventory of all items and repairs needed. This committee will acquire estimates for labor and materials needed and recommend repair priorities based on funds and partnerships available.
