Bible studies, prayer groups, card clubs, etc.
Garden/campus beautification projects (garden clean-up, planting, seasonal decorations, etc.), personal Memoirs for residents/families, special activities projects – holiday events, special outings, etc., clean toys for the family visit rooms, special painting project, or host a special occasion party.
Connecting with those who cannot get out and about.
Assist both with the activities department but also assistance with residents during shift changes.
Volunteers are needed to help package and serve seniors at one of the congregate sites located in the 34 communities of western Wayne County or in the Downriver.
Drive foster children and/or family members to and from appointments (Mileage is reimbursed).
Assist residents to and from in-house therapy, activities, meals, etc.
General office duties such as copying, follow-up calls, etc.
Special times with our residents in general visits, strolls when the weather is good, just some one-on-one conversation.
Volunteers have opportunities to help with administrative support that includes: filing, stuffing envelopes, organizing, cleaning, putting away donations, and assisting in the Resource Center.
