Volunteers are critical in assisting us with: animal enrichment, cleaning, meet & greets in the community (adoption fairs), hosting successful fundraising events, transporting animals to medical appointments, and helping in our Rescued Treasures Resale Shop. Volunteers must be 18+ or with a legal guardian.
Help with grounds keeping to keep our farm looking beautiful and welcoming.
Participate in Special Events such as Spring Break Bash, Fall Fun on the Farm, Summer ice cream social and Christmas through Lowell. We also need people willing to attend community marketing events.
We are so thankful you would like to provide a home to one of our animals temporarily while they wait for their forever home! We cover all costs for medical, food and toys while a foster is in your home; in exchange, we ask that you provide them a loving committed environment!
We always need help caring for our animals in the petting area.
Do you have creative ideas and a willingness to connect with your community? We are looking for adults to help us organize and participate in special events and help with fundraisers.
We look for all kids to have background experience with cows/livestock. We would like volunteers to be 13-14 if you’ve had past Dairy Day Camp experience, or 15 and up.
Other ways to volunteer with AFC include becoming a trained field trip docent, Community Scientist, Friend of an AFC Preserve, Advisor, or just answering the call when we need help stuffing envelopes with our Annual Report.
Groups interested in trail work, invasive plant removal, or other service can contact us to set up an event of your own. We are always happy to help Scouts identify projects that can meet their requirements and leave a lasting positive impact in the community and out on the land.
We will need volunteers for community and industry awareness. Events and campaigns in the future.
