Help at one of our four thrift stores. The role of our four Grace Centers of Hope (GCH) thrift stores is to turn your in-kind donations into treasures for resale. Through your support, our thrift stores contribute over 40% of all GCH revenue.
Steepletown hosts two major fundraisers a year for which volunteers are needed to serve on a working committee: Taste the West Side takes place in March and Golfing for Grads takes place in September. These committees convene for six months prior to the event.
Provide tutoring for residents in GED courses. The Career and Education Center provides GED prep courses for all residents who need to obtain a GED. This program includes individual online preparation, one-on-one tutoring, homework assistance, and pre-tests.
Facilitate activities for residents in our men’s and women’s programs.
Work in Little Grace Village landscaping, house repairs, and/or in our community garden and greenhouse. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or chaperon. One adult per 5 volunteers under the age of 18.
Help provide, prepare, and/or serve meals in our kitchens. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or chaperon. One adult per 5 volunteers under the age of 18.
Play a crucial role in finding homes for animals at mobile adoption events, as well as provide customer service to potential adopters.
