Volunteers are trained to provide interpretation for mono-lingual or limited-English speaking clients, and to translate service agency forms or documents. Volunteers also help CPAF create or translate campaigns into API languages such as our “Love is…” campaign for Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Commitment: 5 hour Volunteer Interpreter Training; regular remote and/or in-person availability.
Volunteers follow CPAF’s social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and they regularly share content and calls to action with their personal networks. Group volunteering opportunities include donation drives, community events, community bridges, brown bags & workshops, and annual service dats.
The Flying Pig Medical team is looking for doctors, nurses, athletic trainers, physical therapists, paramedics, EMTs, other healthcare professionals, AND students to help take care of the event participants.
Our official volunteer program requires volunteers to be at least 14 years of age. If you represent a non-profit with volunteers under the age of 14, we still have an opportunity for you! Your group can participate as one of our Sunday “Spirit Stations.”
Volunteers are needed throughout the weekend to help with all facets of the event such as fluid stations, on-course aid stations, start and finish line area. Donations range depending on the volunteer assignment and the adult to youth ratio the group is able to provide. All volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
Volunteers help provide childcare at CPAF’s shelters. They spend time reading, drawing, and playing–following the child’s lead and engaging their interests! Child care volunteers play a critical role in supporting children who have experienced loss and trauma. Commitment: Advocate Training; 2 hour shelter orientation; 2-4 hours monthly on weekdays, evenings, and/or weekends.
Make a difference by getting kids fit! Volunteers are needed to help Club members learn fundamentals of sports, new fitness skills, and a love of being active. Athletic Volunteer Opportunities can also include assistance with the Sports Leagues such as scorekeeper, coach, or referee. Volunteer needs and hours vary by location.
Volunteer projects can accommodate anywhere from five to 40 people.
