With 40 acres, 20 buildings and only two maintenance workers, we need help with the simple stuff like changing air filters, repairing sprinklers and other similar ‘to-do’ items you would normally do on the weekend in your own home.
There are many corporate and community outreach volunteer opportunities available or you may have some ideas of your own! Many groups choose to sponsor an event for our children or to provide volunteers for a service project.
Perhaps one of the busiest areas on our campus, the mailroom, receives close to 40 large bins of mail every day and with only one part time employee sorting, we could really use additional help.

Assist the S.A.F.E. House by representing or assisting with the agency at domestic violence awareness events or fundraising events at various community venues, helping with special events and fundraisers, and assisting in data entry and special projects.
There are several opportunities to assist at the emergency shelter such as assisting in the Child Learning Center working with children on art and nurturing projects, tutoring children on English or Math, assisting with Hotline crisis calls, preliminary in-take of new clients, and general shelter upkeep, assisting staff with weekly shopping, or retrieving donations from…
Residential Expansion/ Improvement Projects are great for 12-15 volunteers. Volunteers will assist with service projects that focus on improving NPHY’s housing facilities. Projects available may vary, but can include assisting us with assembling bunk beds and rearranging the client’s Independent Living and Emergency Shelter condos, painting projects, property maintenance/organization projects, beautification/restoration projects, and more.
