There are times throughout the year when we look for volunteers to help us with specific office tasks, event coordination, or special projects.

Youth volunteers can assist as gym assistants, games room helpers, homework assistants, Friday Night Events, and community service projects.

We are looking for volunteers who can assist with the daily activities in all of our program areas: Aquatics, Athletics, Arts, Education, Technology, Music, Teen and Social Recreation. These activities range from helping members with homework to playing games in the gym. Interested in coaching a basketball team, teaching an art class, chess or guitar?…

There are also opportunities for junior volunteers between the ages of 14-18. These special volunteers assist in Webster at Rye’s intergenerational programs. They may help residents hand out treats to children at Halloween, assist in a weekly bowling game or teach someone how to use the computer.

Some volunteers might choose to share their hobbies, talents and special interests, while others provide important emotional support to an individual by simply holding a hand or lending an ear. Volunteers can have regularly scheduled assignments or can come in to help with a specific event, such as a holiday party or a shopping trip…

Assist with our annual Women’s Luncheon and other events. Host a linen drive (new: towels, pillows, twin sheets, comforters, etc.) for families living in Wellspring’s shelter. Volunteer in the Awesome Closet, or host a professional clothing drive for our students entering the workforce.

Wellspring’s Holiday Store program provides an opportunity for eligible low-income parents to shop by appointment for toys and gifts for their children. Volunteers can assist with the operations of the Holiday Store.

Play a critical role in Museum operations! As the first point of contact with the public, it will be your helpful nature and cheery disposition which determine our visitors’ first impressions. Greet Museum visitors, collect admission fees, provide membership information, answer questions and provide clerical support to the Visitor Services staff.

Support the Museum’s retail enterprise by making sales, answering questions and restocking inventory.
