If you are looking to give back to your community or mentor someone attempting to become self-sufficient, then TFS has a variety of ways you can help; such as: personal shoppers for clients, inventory management, and workshop facilitation.

Provide assistance to shoppers, bag merchandise for customers at the front counter, screen free shoppers for eligibility, and maintain the shop racks & displays. Opportunity to learn to operate the cash register if desired (but not required). Outgoing, friendly personality needed. Full training provided.

Become a long term volunteer mentor to a young person in foster care. SLM mentors have the opportunity to build meaningful connections and support youth in learning essential life skills, including financial literacy and work-readiness in preparation for adulthood.

A pair of advocates will meet with clients who have requested emergency financial assistance and determine their need and monthly expenses to assist with budget resolution.

Provide contacts and ideas for funding sources, help organize and publicize events, or make an event of your own. This can be a one-time event or an event that takes place on a regular basis – your idea in action!
