Make a difference in the lives of children and their families. Knowledgeable advocates and attorneys are sought to volunteer on MAC’s Helpline. MAC is also seeking attorneys and advocates who wish to provide pro bono or low cost services to low-income families.
Would you like to be a regular or an occasional volunteer at MAC? We need volunteers occasionally to help at our events, or to process mailings, and can use regular help on projects to assist with office work.
Join an event committee! Would you like to host a house party to friend-raise or fund-raise for MAC? To help us spread awareness of and support for MAC’s advocacy?
It’s rewarding for both our volunteers and our children when a group of community members provide supervised play times for the homeless children who reside in our shelters so parents/caregivers can participate in enrichment activities or simply take a break.
The Welcome Home (WHP) volunteer program aims to make the transition back into permanent housing as smooth as possible. WHP connects volunteers with new tenants by offering volunteers the opportunity to provide personalized housewarming gifts along with useful household supplies and décor to our new tenants.
Artists, creatives or subject-matter experts who may be interested in using their skills to capture the stories of our clients, lead a workshop or assist the organization in its mission to end homelessness in any way are welcome.
The Friendly Visitor Program matches volunteers with frail and isolated elders who are living either in their homes or long-term care facilities. Through one-on-one visits the program offers companionship, helps alleviate loneliness, promotes aging with dignity, and for many offers a treasured connection to Judaism.
Help JF&CS clients as part of your group’s social action project, synagogue’s Mitzvah Day, or family’s volunteering. JF&CS has many interesting volunteer opportunities within our various programs. We can work with you to create a custom experience that will be meaningful, rewarding, and fun!
Kids Connection Corner (KCC) provides a fun, recreational, family support program for youth (ages 7-14) with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. Volunteers will work on a team to provide opportunities for socialization, life skills development, and creative activities for youth while giving family members much-needed time to themselves.
JF&CS needs your expertise! Got a flair for entertaining? Perhaps our event planning team could use your help. Good with numbers? Maybe our fiscal department could use your assistance. Put your accounting, marketing, event planning, artistic, musical, language, or other proficiencies to work.
