The Museum operates a small outlet that stocks a variety of items such as books about Abraham Lincoln, books about Plymouth history, old-fashioned candy, and replicas of antique toys. The store is open during the Museum’s normal hours of operation and is staffed entirely by volunteers.

Guides meet one of the Museum’s most critical needs. They welcome guests, orient them to the building’s layout, and provide information about the exhibits. The Museum sends the Museum Memo, a quarterly newsletter (4 times a year) to its members, other museums and professional organizations. The Museum invites anyone with writing ability and editorial expertise to help it prepare the newsletter for publication and mailing.

Act as the host/hostess of the theater by being in the lobby and taking tickets for the downstairs patrons. They answer any questions that come up and arrive to volunteer 45 minutes prior to start of performance.

Greet the public and help them secure tickets. Some comfort level working with computer programs and financial software is required. During show runs the box office is open one hour prior to the performance. Weekly hours vary.

Former teachers, aspiring teachers and others combine to design and present programs for elementary and middle school students using the Museum’s exhibits and artifacts to present American history in an entertaining and engaging way. Volunteer help is needed to manage office computers and software, web upkeep, graphic design, social media management. Also looking for help in poster distribution. Variable day time hours.

Volunteers are instrumental in building costumes as well as putting finishing touches on projects. Time requirement varies with each show but hours are flexible with your schedule.

This position is part of the stage crew. Properties are all of the set dressings and small articles used in a production. Time commitment is the full run of the show plus tech week and some rehearsals.

Greet the public and sell water and snacks prior to and during intermission of each show. Must be 18 years or older. Arrival time is 45 minutes prior to the performance.
