Our mission

The Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation is the non-profit organization that oversees the annual Barracuda Championship PGA TOUR event. Since our inception in 1999, we have had the honor of aiding numerous charities thanks to the ongoing support of the community.

The Barracuda Championship boasts some of the best volunteer leaders within the PGA TOUR. These hard working individuals give their time and energy to make the Barracuda Championship the best it can be and allows the Foundation to give back more to our community. We thank these Forecaddie leaders, and encourage you to contact them to ask any questions you may have, or just to thank them yourself!

About us

The Barracuda Championship is an official PGA TOUR event and a regular full-field stop on the PGA TOUR schedule, and is part of the FedExCup series.The internationally-televised tournament brings in millions of dollars in coverage for the region through its affiliation with The GOLF CHANNEL and follows the 132 PGA TOUR professionals competing for a share of the $3.5 million purse. The Barracuda Championship is operated and managed by the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation. Since 1999 northern Nevada charities have benefited to the tune of over $4 million thanks to the goodwill and community outreach of the Reno-Tahoe Open Foundation.
