About us | The Ella Sharp Museum is an American Alliance of Museums accredited institution since 1978. One of the first small museums in the country to receive such distinction, the Ella Sharp Museum is one of only 25 accredited institutions in the State of Michigan. The museum operates 11 buildings on six acres. The Hadwin Center connects seven galleries featuring changing art, science, and history exhibits, permanent exhibits of Jackson history, wildlife art, and a beautiful clock collection. Regularly scheduled tours of Ella’s farmhouse and family-friendly shows in the Hurst Planetarium complete the museums public offerings. |
