Community Partner Volunteering

We aim to provide organizations of all shapes and sizes with different ways to engage with and give back to their community.

Individual Build Volunteers

No experience – no problem! Each and every volunteer brings new vitality and strength and becomes part of the Essex County Habitat family. Experience is not necessary. We offer individuals and groups including corporate groups, schools, and faith-based organizations a wonderful way to build homes and build camaraderie. If you are looking for local volunteering opportunities to do some community service, acquire new skills, or put existing building skills to work, we welcome you to volunteer with Essex County Habitat and experience the joy of seeing a new family move into their home as a result of your contributions.

About us

Building Homes Building Hope. Founded in 1985. Essex County Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with people in need to build or renovate simple decent homes. Everyone deserves a safe and affordable home. Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity (MVHFH) and North Shore Habitat for Humanity (NSHFH) are merging to become Essex County Habitat for Humanity (ECHFH). By working together, we will be able to build even more safe, decent and affordable homes, alongside partner families across Essex County.
