About us | Grandma’s Place is an emergency foster shelter for children who have been removed from their homes by the Department of Children & Families due to abuse or neglect. Grandma’s Place also has a Family Support Program for families with a child with special needs. This program has three distinct, yet interconnected components; Parent Training and Education, Parent Mentoring Network, and Respite Care. Respite care is provided to the parents and/or caregiver who care for a child or children with mild-to-moderate special needs ages 0-12, evenings, weekends, overnight, after school, and on an emergency basis. |
