| Description | Since 2013, the team of certified health care navigators at Jewish Family Service has helped more than 18,000 community members explore and purchase insurance on the health care marketplace through the Affordable Care Act. That’s in addition to signing up countless more for Michigan’s expanded Medicaid program. Volunteers are needed during open enrollment (November through December) as well as at community events during the rest of the year. Health care navigation volunteers are required by both Federal and State government to participate in online training, which can be done at home. |
