Petsmart Mobile Events VolunteerWe currently house cats in-store at two Petsmart locations – Santa Clarita and Tujunga. These cats need daily care and rely on a team of dedicated volunteers to clean, feed and play with our resident cats. For weekend adoption events, duties include set-up and tear-down (tables, cages and supplies), as well as working the event itself; transport of cats to and from the event may also be involved, depending upon the location. Volunteers should enjoy the experience of meeting and interacting with the general public and be prepared for a fair amount of lifting and standing.Photography VolunteerHeaven on Earth is seeking positive and energetic volunteers to take photos and videos of cats to be used in social media campaigns, emails, and as part of other outreach to help generate adoption and placement options. Ideal skills include photography, lighting, cat and kitten handling; use of cloud-based software including G Suite; ability to edit and upload pictures to shared files; strong verbal skills; organization; professionalism; customer focus.Youth VolunteerYouth volunteers may volunteer at Perry’s Place and for special events (excludes Petsmart locations). Volunteers in need of community service hours are welcome. Ages 13-17Virtual VolunteerHelp us from the comfort of your own home. We accept virtual assistance with fundraising, graphic design, marketing and more.Support VolunteerWe also need volunteers to help with administrative tasks, fundraising, photography and more!Foster VolunteerWe also need in-home foster volunteers. Take home a Perry’s Place cat and help it on the way to adoption!Social Media InternWe’re looking for a social-savvy individual to assist with our social media campaigns and strategies in order to increase followers, expand awareness, and drive support to the organization. 10 hours/week. Social Media intern responsibilities include creating timely and topical posts for Heaven on Earth’s social media accounts, monitoring all social platforms and engaging with supporters through comments and messages, analyzing analytics to gauge the success of campaigns, taking photos and video footage of cats, volunteers, and staff on-site, and more.Perry's Place VolunteerAs a Perry’s Place volunteer, you are part of the team that creates a homelike environment by cleaning, feeding and maintaining the building to ensure it is ready for visitors. You can also spend quiet time socializing shyer cats and kittens, as well as working with senior or special needs cats who need extra grooming and TLC. You may also train to assist during our public adoption hours. These tasks include greeting visitors, cleaning meet and greet rooms, counseling potential adopters and completing adoption contracts. |

| About us | We pull cats and underage kittens from City and County shelters and care for them until they are healthy, sterilized, and available for adoption. We operate the Perry MacFarlane Sanctuary, our Cage-free, No-kill Facility. Cats who are with us temporarily awaiting adoption as well as longer-term residents receive quality care at our North Hollywood sanctuary & adoption center. We also have a foster program; hold mobile adoption events; operate a clinic to provide spay/neuter surgeries and veterinary services; and reach out to the community providing support, guidance and humane education. |
