Elderly ProgramsThe goals of our elderly programs are to address this issue by providing companionship, conversation, and fun to the elderly who live in local nursing homes. Something as simple as providing conversation can make a world of difference. Beyond those we are serving, elderly programs also open up volunteers to a greater awareness and appreciation for the elderly, as they can be a subgroup of people that are overlooked in society.HOPE ScoutsThe vision of the HOPE scouts is to raise up young leaders and community contributors so that they can carry the torch of walking in Jesus’ footsteps as adults. Volunteerism can start young, and children are far more likely to become community citizens and to be active in the service of others as adults if they serve in their youth. Our goal is to teach our children the heart of Jesus and the instruction of God, and service is an integral part of those teachings. |
