TutorLVOA tutors are patient, dedicated individuals who want to share their time and talents to help other adults improve their literacy and conversational English skills. Tutors must be able to satisfactorily complete the tutor training workshop, prepare individual lessons for students, and tutor for at least 2 hours per week for a minimum of 9 - 12 months.General VolunteerTutoring not for you. About us | Literacy Volunteers of Orange/Athol (LVOA) is a non-profit organization that has been helping adults improve their reading, writing and English speaking skills in the North Quabbin region since 1975. LVOA provides free, private, and confidential tutoring to adults and youth ages 16 and older in basic reading and writing and in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), through the use of professionally trained and supported volunteer tutors. |
