Needs |
Social Outings and Monthly OpportunitiesIf you can only help out occasionally we have several ways for you to help. You can assist our staff in taking the elderly on social outings, celebrate birthday parties, assist with art programs, and assist with transportation, clean-up, and set-up for taking the elderly to visit nearby nursing homes.Visiting VolunteersBecome a visiting volunteer to an elderly person living in Hamilton County. The elderly friends we visit on a regular basis are people who have little social support. Most of these elders are fairly lonely and isolated and would welcome a friendly visitor. This program is at the heart of our effort to provide friendship and social contact.Holiday VolunteersLittle Brothers–Friends of the Elderly celebrate the holidays with our elderly friends because this is when they can feel the loneliest. We visit the elderly in their home/apartment and bring a hot meal with flowers and additional goodies. We also visit our friends residing in area nursing homes taking them a basket of goodies. We need volunteers to visit the elderly on these holidays. We also need volunteers to help set–up, cook, clean–up and donate items.Office VolunteersWe need volunteers to assist us with the numerous pieces of work we do in our office. We could use the assistance of volunteers who are familiar with computers – doing data entry and filing. We also need volunteers who can answer the phone, assist with mailings. |

How you help |

About us | Our history dates back to the mid 1900s with Armand Marquiset of France, but our mission in Greater Cincinnati is more than fifteen years in the making. Each year LBFE serves hundreds of tri–state elderly through outreach programs, all designed to relieve isolation and loneliness among the elderly and to assist them in living quality lives. We currently have more than 450 elderly in our network who we assist in some manner. |
