Medical or Legal Accompaniment
| Description | Interns/Volunteers trained as counselors willing to complete an additional unit of training can become certified as “Advocates”. Advocates provide support to Survivors and their loved ones at area hospitals following an assault while the Survivor is medically cleared and completes a forensic examination. Advocates may also be assigned to accompany a Survivor a local police station to complete a report on the assault or to Court if they choose to prosecute the perpetrator. |
