Sun Smart Nevada Volunteer

Volunteer for Sun Smart Nevada, the Nevada Cancer Coalition’s sun safety awareness and skin cancer prevention program. Sun Smart volunteers educate people at community events and build awareness for sun safety and skin cancer prevention in schools, workplaces, and outdoor recreation areas.

About us

NCC works to reduce the burden of cancer in Nevada through prevention, education, and advocacy. NCC develops and executes programs, promotes evidence-based practices, gathers and disseminates information, and advocates for policies to: reduce the risk for developing cancer, increase early detection and appropriate screening for cancer, increase access to appropriate and effective cancer treatment and care, address quality of life issues for Nevadans affected by cancer, promote the collection and use of cancer-related data, and improve the coordination and collaboration between cancer control efforts.
