General Volunteering OpportunitiesWhether it is a fundraising event, job search workshop, client event or job fair, we would love to have you join our team as a volunteer. At this point, our strongest need is for skilled volunteers who can coach and mentor job seekers.MentorWe are seeking volunteers from the business community to work directly with job seekers. Mentors will regularly meet with job seekers to develop a job search plan, review resumes and applications, conduct mock interviews and provide support throughout the job search process and in the first few months of new employment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who works in human resources or is experienced in recruiting and hiring.Employer PartnershipsGetting employers interested in helping the formerly incarcerated find work is an important part of our mission. We are looking for employers who want to support the reentry community. If you are looking for ways to get your company involved in helping our clients, we can work with you to sponsor activities for and mentor job seekers. We are also looking for employers who want to host an employer summit, which brings together business professionals to discuss the benefits, challenges and success stories of hiring the formerly incarcerated. |

| About us | Pacific Reentry Career Services was founded by Stephanie Hammerwold and Timothy Pershing with the goal of reducing recidivism by helping the formerly incarcerated gain employment and therefore maintain a stable life outside of jail or prison. Pacific Reentry Careeer Services provides job search training and ongoing employment support to formerly incarcerated women, however our services are available to all justice-involved individuals. We also network with other service providers and educate employers on the benefits of hiring this valuable group. |
